Since childhood he learned classical gagaku at Kasuga Nanto Gakuso
of Nara and performed as a prestigious member.
In 1986, he organized "Music Group Mahora" consisting of various
kinds of musicians.
He plays music of different genres in world music,
collaborates to create music for drama, with Butho dancers, and so on
as a solo artist and is activite as a music supervisior in Europe and
Asian countries.
In 1999, his CD "Forest Soul Kodama" was released by the Nash studio,
which recorded his solo performance with a background of sound-effects
from natural environments in the primeval forest of Kasugayama.

He began learning piano when he was 5 years old.
He was fascinated by the first time he saw the tsugaru shamisen player
Mr.Takahashi Chikuzan play the piece "Tsugaru Jongara-bushi," and
became a disciple of Mr.Tanaka Chikusen.
In 1993, he organized "Pumpkin Taste" and participated as a composer and pianist.
In 1995, his CD "Restfull Heart" was released.
He is also activite in TV, radio, concert halls, wine cellars, and schools.
He has performed in concerts in Italy, Germany, New York, and Hawaii,
among others. Furthermore, this energizing composer has composed music
for many dramatic companies as well as a musical.

Studied gagaku in Kasuga Taisha "Nanto Gakuso."
Participated in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 and afterward went to
China for performances in Beijing, Shanghai, and elsewhere in 1986.
In 1990, he performanced at the Vatican Palace in Italy.
He has extensive touring experience, which includes performances in
India, China, throughout Europe, and in the USA.
In 1998, he organized the "Nara Gagaku ensemble."
He also participated in a collaboration of performance with Kyogen and
is activie as a solo musician and for "Music Group Mahora."
In 2007 March, his CD "Kishin" was released by the Nash studio.

He has researched particularly the music of the Far East and East Asia.
He has studied abroad at National Seoul University in South Korea.
He graduated with a master's degree from National Seoul University,
and after graduating he attended Osaka Art University in Japan.
Currently, he is active as a lecturer of music engineering and is a
specialist in sho performance. He is able to play a lot of musical
instruments of various Japanese classical musics, including shakuhachi,
koto, shamisen, and many percussion instruments.
He has participated in arts projects for overseas performances as a
member of "Nanto Gakuso."
In 1990-1991, he participated in concert tour of Europe and America.
As a researcher, many of his articles were published.
